Typical Procedure Flow
File a Japanese trademark application through the Paris route or file an international trademark application through the Madrid System (see Fees).
Receive an office action from the JPO. Respond to the office action with amendments and/or arguments (see Fees). Receive a notice of allowance and pay registration fees (see Fees). Receive a certificate of registered trademark.File an application for renewal registration not more than 10 years after the trademark registration (see Fees).
